Impedance AUDIOMETRY is an objective technique which evaluates middle ear function by three procedures: static Impedance , tympanometry, and the measurement of acoustic reflex threshold sensitivity. Impedance testing is a part of the testing completed when you see an Audiologist for a hearing evaluation. It evaluates the function of the eardrum, the middle ear including ossicular chain and function of Eustachian tube, and the acoustic reflex.Our use of advanced technology and equipment ensures precise diagnoses and successful treatments. Otoacoustic Emissions or OAEs are very soft sounds which are generated in the cochlea in response to a sound stimulus. To record OAEs a healthy middle ear with good sound conduction is required. Presence of OAEs is indicative of normal cochlear amplifier functioning. Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry(BERA) or Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) is an objective electrophysiological and non-invasive method of hearing assessment. BERA / ABR evaluate both cochlea and brainstem auditory pathway integrity. Estimating hearing levels of difficult-to-test patients Evaluating patients with suspected Retrocochlear Pathology. Diagnosis of Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder. To Assess hearing in Congenital Malformations of Ear cases such as Microtia, Atresia, Stenosis of Ear Canal, Anotia, Ear Tags & Mondini deformity. To assess Functional Hearing LossTypes of BERA / ABR we use1. Threshold Estimation BERA / ABR – This helps in estimating hearing levels.2. High Rate BERA / ABR – This helps in differentiating cochlear versus Retrocochlear involvement in hearing loss3. Bone Conduction BERA / ABR – This helps in estimating bone conduction hearing levels.

Pure tone audiometry is a test performed by an audiologist to assess ones hearing sensitivity.To carry out this test we need an audiometer, an instrument to deliver sound stimuli.Ideally a sound treated room is required to carry out this test.Patient is made to sit comfortably and being instructed as follows; “after putting these headphones onto your ears you will be hearing a tone/beep, whenever you hear that, you raise your finger even if it is very soft”.An audiogram is a representation of one’s hearing. It is a graph frequency versus intensity shows hearing sensitivity of an individual.Our use of advanced technology and equipment ensures precise diagnoses and successful treatments.
